KOMputer is a small, personal cycling coaching app. This page describes what it actually stores and which third parties it sends your data to. It is a plain description of how the app works, not a legal document.
What KOMputer stores
- Your email address, used to sign you in.
- The profile you fill in during onboarding — goals, disciplines, weekly hours, schedule and weather preferences, experience level, ZIP code, and any target event.
- Your Strava tokens and Intervals.icu API key, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). These are decrypted only on the server, only to make requests to those services on your behalf.
Your rides and wellness metrics are not warehoused — they are read from Strava and Intervals.icu when you load the app. Responses are cached on the server for up to an hour to reduce API calls.
Where your data goes
KOMputer cannot work without sending data to these services:
- Anthropic (Claude)
Everything the coach reasons about: CTL/ATL/TSB, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, your goals and preferences, your ZIP code, details of recent rides including their names, and the messages you send in chat. This is how coaching responses are generated. - Strava and Intervals.icu
Your own accounts. KOMputer reads your activity and wellness data; it does not write anything back. - Nominatim (OpenStreetMap)
Your ZIP code, to convert it into coordinates for the weather lookup. - Open-Meteo
Those coordinates, to fetch the local forecast. - Sentry
Error diagnostics from the production app, including a replay of the page when an error occurs. Text content is masked in replays. - Resend
Your email address, to deliver sign-in links. - Google Fonts
Your browser requests the app's fonts from Google on each page load, which discloses your IP address to Google.
What KOMputer does not do
Your data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone other than the services listed above.
Deleting your data
You can disconnect Strava or Intervals.icu at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored credentials for that service. There is no self-serve account deletion yet — email hello@steeptech.dev and your account and profile will be removed.
